These crumbly confections are delicious by themselves but paired with a hot cup of tea, heaping spoonfuls of clotted cream, and any of the three sumptuous spreads we've selected (lemon curd, strawberry jam, and raspberry and vanilla jam), and mom can easily imagine that she's stopped in at the Savoy for a deserved respite.
