Handsome Scottish-themed blue tin contains two packs of shortbread fingers. Makes a great compact gift.

Based in Edinburgh, Scotland, the Shortbread House was started by Anna Wilson using her mother's recipes and has since become a premier brand of shortbread throughout the British Isles. Using no shortcuts or preservatives and still made with the same recipes by hand, this shortbread is baked slowly until golden brown and then cut into fingers while still warm from the oven. Its buttery and nutty flavor and crunchy yet delicate texture is seldom found except in only the finest homemade shortbread.

If this tin is out of stock, consider the Shortbread House Assortment Tin (500g), a larger tin with a selection of 4 flavors of fingers: Original Recipe, Stem Ginger, Chocolate Chip, and Chocolate & Orange.

I am a shortbread fanatic. And I have a very good recipe (NYT sugared shortbread) that I make and love. But I wanted to see...were these better? YES they were! They are really the best shortbread I have ever had and I have had them in Scotland many times.

These were a gift for my Aunt's birthday and she loves them. She did say its a large amount of cookies. Her exact words were, "there's enough for me and everyone I know!" She really enjoys the lemon shortbread flavor too. The delivery was quick and her treats arrived in good condition too.

Best Shortbread I have had since my mother made it

I love this shortbread. This is the second tin I have bought. It comes in a wonderful tin that keeps it fresh. I have hidden this box from my husband so that I can have one when I want and i don't feel any need to share it at all since he wolfs them down and I savor each delicious morsel. Anyway, will never be without this and limit myself to one a day. Saundra

Spoil yourself!

If you think you've had shortbread, think again. Shortbread House has elevated shortbread to an art form with these hand made fingers. The flavor is rich in butter, the texture is a satisfying bite, then melt-in-your-mouth. There are few things I've had the pleasure to try that are truly world's best- this shortbread is one of them.

Best shortbread you could possibly buy

I have always loved shortbread--ever since my mother baked it at home over 75 years ago. I know good shortbread and when I saw this in the tin online I decided to give it a try. I am not sorry. I try to just eat one a day so that I can have this treat often but it is really difficult to not have more since they are so deliciously buttery and flavorful. I am thinking about hiding the tin from my husband because unfortunately he loves them as well and doesn't care how many he eats so---don't tell him but he will not find the tin today!!! Extraordinary cookies and love the tin because it keeps them fresh. Thank you for having these. I will order them again soon and maybe get my husband his own tin so I am not deprived!!! Saundra
