Summer Shipping Guidelines

Our Summer Shipping guidelines are now in place. Orders containing perishable items (P), such as cheese, and heat-sensitive items (SP), such as chocolate, should not be in transit for more than 2 days. Our website will only offer shipping options that take this into account. For this reason, the UPS Ground Shipping option may not be offered at checkout if the destination cannot be reached in 2 days via UPS Ground. See the map below to know the transit days for your order.

  • Depending on the destination, we will NOT ship orders with perishable or heat-sensitive items on Thursdays or Fridays. We do not want orders with perishable or heat-sensitive items to sit in non-climate-controlled UPS facilities over the weekend.
  • If UPS Ground Shipping appears as an option for your order at checkout, it is safe to use that method.
  • We may make substitutions for 1 or 2 items in some gifts if they are heat-sensitive. We will substitute items of equal or greater value that will travel safely.
  • Please refer to the item codes P and SP below to determine whether shipping restrictions apply.

Shipping Perishable & Heat-Sensitive Products

Since we include the freshest foods in our gifts, some gifts have transit time restrictions to ensure freshness. If a product has special shipping needs, the appropriate note will be displayed on the item's shipping tab.  Please note that we do not ship perishable products on Thursday or Friday if they will be in transit over the weekend.

  • SP Items are sensitive to heat and should not be in transit for more than 2 days during the hot summer months. Please note that when shipping chocolates to warm climates, they are sent in insulated coolers to ensure they arrive in proper condition.
  • P items are perishable and need to be delivered within 2 days. If the shipping destination is within the yellow or tan area on the UPS shipping map below, you may ship via UPS Ground. Otherwise, you must ship via UPS 2nd-Day Shipping. Please note perishable items can not be shipped to addresses outside the continental United States (Alaska or Hawaii).
  • HP items are highly perishable and must be delivered within 1 day. If the shipping address is located in the yellow area on the shipping map below, you may ship via UPS Ground. Otherwise, you must ship via UPS Overnight Shipping. Please note that highly perishable items cannot be shipped to addresses outside the continental United States (including Alaska and Hawaii).
