I am a shortbread fanatic. And I have a very good recipe (NYT sugared shortbread) that I make and love. But I wanted to see...were these better? YES they were! They are really the best shortbread I have ever had and I have had them in Scotland many times.

These were a gift for my Aunt's birthday and she loves them. She did say its a large amount of cookies. Her exact words were, "there's enough for me and everyone I know!" She really enjoys the lemon shortbread flavor too. The delivery was quick and her treats arrived in good condition too.

Best Shortbread I have had since my mother made it

I love this shortbread. This is the second tin I have bought. It comes in a wonderful tin that keeps it fresh. I have hidden this box from my husband so that I can have one when I want and i don't feel any need to share it at all since he wolfs them down and I savor each delicious morsel. Best shortbread you could possibly buy

I have always loved shortbread--ever since my mother baked it at home over 75 years ago. I know good shortbread and when I saw this in the tin online I decided to give it a try. I am not sorry. I try to just eat one a day so that I can have this treat often but it is really difficult to not have more since they are so deliciously buttery and flavorful. I am thinking about hiding the tin from my husband because unfortunately he loves them as well and doesn't care how many he eats so---don't tell him but he will not find the tin today!!! Extraordinary cookies and love the tin because it keeps them fresh. Thank you for having these. I will order them again soon and maybe get my husband his own tin so I am not deprived!!! Saundra
